National Freelancer Training Centers to be set up in three districts of KP

Multiple contracts has been signed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB), Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and five universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the formation of National Freelance Training Program (NFTP) centers and expand the National Incubation Centers (NICs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As per press release, the National Freelance Training Board centers will be established in University of Malakand while Institute of Management Sciences Peshawar and Gomal University will be established in Dera Ismail Khan and National Incubation Centers will be established in Kohat University of Science and Technology and University of Swat.

Signing ceremony of MOU was held in Islamabad.The cheif guest of the event was the advisor to Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science and Information Technology Ziaullah Bangash. Special Assistant to CM KP on Information and PRs and Higher Education Kamran Bangash, Member Provincial Assembly Fasial Amin Gandapur, Federal Secretary on MoITT Shoaib Ahmad Saddiqui, Managing Director KPITB Dr. Sahibzada Ali Mahmud, Asim Jamsheed who is the Director of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board, Chairman PITB Azfar Manzoor & Vice Chancellors from the aforementioned universities also joined the event.

Khyber pakhtunkhuwa infirmation technology board, Punjab infirmation technology board and the partner universities signed the Memorandum of understanding.

While giving a speech at event, Mr. Bangash told that youth are the representative of change and transformation of any country. He added that investing in the country’s youth will open new paths of economic strength through digital changes. He also added that this partnership will prove to be a way towards the sight of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan – a digitally strong Pakistan.

He declared that, “Expansion of National Incubation Centers will encourage building of universities involved and will give sustainable income chances and play a vital role in generating new jobs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.”

Azfar Manzoor, Chairman of Punjab Information Technology Board stated that the National Freelance Training Program objective is to decrease unemployment by giving opportunities through freelance training to 22,800 individuals in 20 centers across Pakistan. Out of these, three centers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will teach 1,350 individuals yearly to monetize their skills through internet-based freelancing. He stated that National Expansion of NICs will try hard towards establishing an ambitious environment in the country.
