National Incubation Center achieves milestone of onboarding more than 200 startups since launch

For a fast track six-month incubation programme, the National Incubation Center has on-boarded its 9th cohort consisting of 22 startups. With this induction, NIC has achieved the milestone of becoming Pakistan’s first National Incubation Center to have more than 200 startups on board since its launch. Ignite, Jazz & Teamup’s NIC, is all set for another thrilling journey full of fresh concepts, creativity and experimentation. Before joining the programme, the innovative startups have already validated their ideas and will experience an accelerated journey that will enable them to rapidly track their startup towards development.

61 applications were shortlisted for the interview process out of the 693 applications received. 22 startups were chosen to join the NIC for the 9th Cohort after a rigorous three-day interview by a panel of industry experts, advisors and entrepreneurs. In startups, the cohort carries fro

Startups from different genres and technologies including Ed-Tech, Logistics, Fashion, Fintech, Shared Economy and many more, are brought into the cohort.

“The NIC welcomes the 9th Cohort. Since its launch, the NIC has on-boarded more than 200 startups with this induction, which is testament to the program’s success in enabling these startups to create and scale robust Companies,” said Aamer Ejaz, Jazz’s Chief Digital & Strategy Officer.

The NIC team and our new startups are in high spirits to launch this exciting journey after a two-day virtual orientation session, marked by intense networking with teams, established startups and many fun activities. The startups inducted will undergo a hybrid programme, virtually due to the present pandemic situation, with curriculum and mentoring sessions performed.
