Huawei and HEC launch Seeds for the Future program 2021

Huawei Pakistan and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) once again came together to invite applications for the 7th edition of the Seeds for the Future program 2021.

The program was first launched in 2015, and in the last 6 years, 87 students have been selected from varsities across Pakistan by the HEC and sent by Huawei to China for two weeks to gain training on Chinese culture and advance their ICT skills. Due to Covid-19, the 2021 program will be conducted completely online like the previous year, over the course of eight days.

The students who have been selected will have the opportunity to obtain valuable cutting-edge ICT knowledge developed by Huawei’s headquarters and experience cross-cultural communication virtually. During the program, students will first learn about Chinese culture and the Chinese language, and will then get technical training from Huawei and experts from the industry, who will impart knowledge regarding a variety of subjects including 5G, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, strategic leadership, and so on.

Pakistan’s ICT industry is experiencing continual growth and programs such as this one will hopefully go a long way towards contributing to this trend.
