Sehat Kahani is a telemedicine platform that seeks to provide quality healthcare to the low income population in Pakistan, while also uplifting women by employing female doctors for their network, which allows for women in low income areas to discuss their healthcare concerns more openly while also enabling female doctors to keep working remotely.
Under the partnership with Zong 4G, 12,000 e-consultations will be offered through the Sehat Kahani app, 7,000 of which will be targeted towards Covid-19 patients while 5,000 consultations will be available for non-Covid related medical queries. The ultimate aim is to raise awareness about Covid-19, and provide salient information regarding new variants, vaccines, and preventive measures, with the organization of live sessions by Sehat Kahani to facilitate this cause as well.
Wang Hua, the Chairman and CEO at Zong 4G, said, “our partnership with Sehat Kahani is testament to our commitment to uplift Pakistan through digital services. As Pakistan battles the fourth Covid wave, health has become one of the key focus areas for the entire country. With frequent lockdowns and low access to primary health facilities, digital health is the best solution to the ongoing health crisis.”
Sara Saeed Khurram, the Co-founder and CEO of Sehat Kahani, said regarding the partnership, “we welcome Zong’s move to use our platform for a greater good and extend the benefits of telemedicine to the masses, especially the underprivileged,” further adding, “we are very pleased by this partnership as it takes forward our mutual mission of democratizing healthcare in Pakistan using telemedicine solutions.”
