University of Sindh sets up its Technology Incubation Center

The University of Sindh recently established its first ever Technology Incubation Center in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

The purpose of the center will be to aid students in their entrepreneurial journey post-university by providing them with the resources and skills needed to start their own businesses. Graduating students will be required to join the center for a time period of one or two years in order to learn how to tackle business challenges and kickstart their own ventures.

Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, the Vice Chancellor of University of Sindh, while speaking at the launch of the center, said that the Technology Incubation Center will operate under the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), and that the university will support it to the fullest extent possible.

He also added that “Incubation is ‘learning and earning.’ Thus, whatever students learn on campuses, they should improve their talents, establish their firm, and play a part in national economic growth.”

The establishment of the Technology Incubation Center will hopefully carry aspiring student entrepreneurs forward in their business endeavours.
